Jesus’ Ministry

Jesus carries on his ministry (circa 25 CE−circa 29 CE) mainly in Galilee and Peraea. He preaches especially to the poor and outcast members of society. During Jesus’ ministry, in which he preached only to Jews, he asked them to love one another and performed a number of miracles mainly involving healing. In contrast to John the Baptist, who had stressed repentance and the coming of the kingdom of God, Jesus stressed that the kingdom of God was actually taking place and that he was God’s chosen instrument in bringing it about.
