Order of St. Benedict, AD 529Ordo Sancti Benedicti or OSB is a monastic order made up of congregations of traditionally independent monastic communities that observe the Rule of St Benedict. Benedict of Nursia established the first such monastary at Monte Cassino, Italy, in AD 529.
